A Walk With Trees
Throughout the history of Sherwood Forest, the woodland landscape has been continually changing. As well as native trees, many varieties have been introduced from around the world. On this fascinating walk through our large woodland, Forest Rangers will teach you how to identify various trees and tell you about their history.
Abseiling
Falling to earth is such an exhilarating feeling and in this beginner's abseiling session you'll learn all the necessary rope skills to be able to climb our 13 metre tower and control your descent back down to the bottom.
Adventure Golf
Merrie men, women and children wanted for adventure on our two 9-hole courses - Castle Hill and The Greenwoods. Avoid the obstacles as you head for the Castle and King's treasure chest where your ball will vanish forever!
Adventure Playground
Our Adventure Playground is the perfect place for children to burn off excess energy.
An Encounter With Owls
Up close, owls are even more beautiful and impressive. During this magical encounter, much loved by adults and children alike, you'll meet some of the world's most spectacular breeds then watch in awe as they fly gracefully and silently to the gloved fist of our professional handler.
Ariel Adventure
A thrilling combination of Tree Trekking and Zip Wire for the serious adrenaline junkie. Once you've conquered our Challenge Course and successfully negotiated the Postman's Walk, Giant Spider's Web and Indiana Bridge, the 25 metre Burma Bridge leads you 12 metres up into the tree canopy to our Zip Wire finale. Once attached, you'll fly 80 metres through the trees, rushing over water below, then abseil to the ground. It's an amazing experience you won't forget in a hurry.
Challenge Course
Your team will rely on each other to achieve the challenges set by this demanding low ropes course, which include the Spider's Web, Chasm Crossing, Balance Beam and aptly named Heebie Jeebie, and you're sure to have a laugh together along the way. It may take place closer to the ground, but it's still not for the faint hearted!

Meet up with friends and enjoy dancing to the latest sounds.
Climbing
Our 9 metre climbing wall has been cleverly designed with routes for beginners that will familiarise them with climbing techniques and skills, and more demanding options to challenge experienced climbers. The session starts with tuition and a safety briefing from an experienced instructor, then it's time to head skywards.
Circus Workshop
A thrilling introduction to circus skills for youngsters. See their faces light up as they amaze themselves and others with their new tricks.
Creepy Crawlies
Hidden away under logs and bark live all kinds of facinating mini beasts. On a mini safari led by a Conservation Ranger, we take a look through magnifying glasses and microscopes to find out more about this minature world.
Cyber Toonies
Ever wondered how cartoons are made? Not only can you discover the secrets of how it's done – you can create your own animation in minutes. Start by creating your very own storyboard then our instructor will guide you through creating a full animated production complete with sound effects.
Falconry
Seeing a majestic falcon fly from your gloved hand and return with effortless grace is a breathtaking experience you won't forget in a hurry. After an introduction to the medieval art of falconry at our wildlife hide, you can feel the thrill of flying one of these powerful birds of prey for yourself.

A cunning collection of tyres, logs and nets set to seriously test your skills and aptitude.
Hawk Walk
The Hawk Walk gives you the opportunity to learn about birds of prey. Join our falconer on a gentle stroll in the forest and enjoy having a hawk feed from your hand!
High Ropes
A cunning collection of poles, ropes and beams form a daring course of action, set out to include the 'Multi Vine', 'Balancing Beams', the 'Inclined Log', Leap of Faith and 'High All Abroad'.
Horse Riding Lessons - Group
A lesson that is taken using the indoor teaching facility suitable for non-riders and beginners.
Indoor Climbing Wall
Tackle our 20ft Indoor Climbing Wall as you are harnessed and guided by our trained instructors. With four different faces each increasing in difficulty it is sure to challenge even the most agile of climbers.
Junior Quad Experience
Once they have been taken through the safety tips, instructions and techniques by our team, each child goes on a fully supervised practise lap. Then when they are confident, they'll zip round the off raod track.
Laser Combat
A family paintball adventure without the paint! Armed with the state-ot-the-art laser guns, you and your team sneak through the forest, manoeuvering around barricades to beat your rivals and solve the Ranger Mission.
Mini Beasts
This safari adventure starts in the forest where we go in search of unusual creepy crawlies hiding in the undergrowth and find out all about them. Back in the virtual zone, intrepid explorers can create their own mini beast on the PC, which we'll burn onto a CD to take home.
Mini Tennis Academy
Every champion has to start somewhere and mini tennis, played with short racquets and larger, soft balls, is a superb way of introducing children to the skills and techniques of tennis. Led by our Center Parcs coaching team, a 30 minute practice session is followed by 15 minutes of games.
R U a D J?
Using samples from New York's DJ Leeny D and Amsterdam's DJ Dimitri, along with the latest software, up and coming DJs can mix their own single in any music style, from hip hop to drum'n'bass, and create a video to go with it. We'll burn the track onto a CD to play on a PC at home or school.
Soccer Academy
A vigorous, professional coaching course to improve ball skills and team play. Prizes for best player, most improved player, penalty competition winner. Certificates awarded at end of course.
Survival Special
Could you survive if you were abandoned in the middle of a forest - with no tent and just a few basic rations? Go for it! A map reading exercise will get you to your secret location, where you'll learn to build a shelter.
Tree Trekking
You are connected into the Expo Glider safety harness system whilst you tackle our Aerial Adventure course, experiencing the many individual challenges from the Postman's Walk, Burma Bridge, Hanging Platforms and Indiana Bridge to make the exhilarating 13 metres Power Fan finale where you will make a quick and controlled descent to the ground.
Virtual Fashion
The face of fashion! Each designer has their picture taken on a digital camera, then you use computer software to create a funky design or turn yourself into an alien or popstar. We'll print your finished creation onto a t-shirt, so get ready to become a fashion icon!
Zip Wire
This is the ultimate rush! Climb to the top of our 13-metre tower (via ladders) where you will be attached to the wire. Then fly through the trees and abseil to the ground.
